    PBF - Little Mac

    N+ is fucking hard

Seriously. It’s very hard. Call of Duty 4 on Veteran? You have AI friends to help you through the hard parts. You have a GUN. In N+? Your only weapon is a self-sacrificing friend in co-op to blow themselves up on some mines. That, and you can jump. Not ON to anything, mind you, ala Mario. Touching them will kill you. But you can jump over them at least. Unless they home in on your position / lock-on and track you.

Still, it has been getting great reviews for its 4 player co-op-ability. And in this regards, the game is excellent. The game has a stick (go left and right), and a button (jump). You can give the controller to anybody and they will understand what to do. More so than Mario Party, Halo, Raving Rabbids, Rock Band, or any of those other Party Games. The games difficulty may turn some people off, but as long as it is not taken too seriously it is hilarious to watch failure as rag doll parts clear an entire mine field for the rest of your team.

I’m one of the (lucky?) ones that can confirm that exiting to the main menu isn’t a guarantee. I’d already read the blog post so I made sure to do that and it still ate my progress from before CoD4 last night. Seems to have saved correctly the next time, so hopefully I never have to look at episode .04 again.

Just played some more. MP Coop. Still very hard. Episode Mission 5 seems…impossible?

Yes. Probably very impossible. No way to beat it. Really.

I finally beat: Prince of Persia Classic

Delayed, I know, but I did beat it a couple of months ago. In short order, even. It came out. I played it and had it done in just a day or two.

Shut up. I know it is “just an hour long.”

Well, Prince of Persia Classic hit Live just a while ago. A remake of quite an old game. Does it sand up to the test of time? <See that intential typo there?>

Tags: do i need to buy Rez a drink?, , I can't tell what's going on, rez, starfox-rhythm-panzerDragoon-flOw-amplitude shooting ga, thump-thump-thump-thump, xbla

I just bought Rez. You should, too.

    Rez Plz!

I just bought Rez.  You should, too.

On Xbox Live and PSN, there are a few must own games. Undertow was free, and I hope you all already got that one. Alien Hominid packs a ton of value into its $10′s of classic Contra-like action. Everyday Shooter is probably the best top-down shooter, and PixelJunk Monsters has some of the most simple, fun co-op I’ve played in awhile.
Rez, however, is a classic. If you haven’t already played it, then you at least know of it. You know it’s hard to find. You know its a cult-classic. You know about the Trance Vibrator . So, is Rez worth $10 bucks? Considering that’s the price of admission to “must-see” movies: Yes. Sure, half the time the movie just isn’t your cup of tea or is over-hyped. The other half of the time, though, the movie is quite entertaining. And sometimes, it’s really, really great.

Either way, you have to see it to be able to talk about it with your buddies. And, can anyone really describe Rez well in words? I may give it a shot later (starfox-rhythm-panzerDragoon-flOw-amplitude shooting game?), but you do need to try playing it the Miz way.

Funny that you mention “the Miz way” because as soon as I downloaded the demo, I checked the options to see if the 3 controller setup I read about was included in the trial version. I could only figure out how to get 2 of them working at once (one in my hands, and one on my back). I think it had more to do with the way I was sitting, but my back was pretty sore by the end of the first area. The sensation was cool, however, and the game itself has very satisfying gameplay given how simple the controls are.
